About this tool
Checks a list of email addresses: valid syntax, a domain that publishes mail servers, obvious typos, disposable domains and duplicates.
What it cannot check is whether a specific mailbox exists. Confirming that means sending mail or probing an SMTP server, and probing gets your server blacklisted while giving unreliable answers anyway — most providers now accept anything and bounce later. So an address passing here means "correctly formed, on a domain that can receive mail", not "deliverable", and the tool will not pretend otherwise.
Common questions
Can you tell me if an address really exists?
No, and neither can anything else reliably. It needs an SMTP probe, which gets your server blacklisted and returns unreliable answers regardless — most providers accept everything at the door and bounce afterwards.
What does the MX check prove?
That the domain publishes mail servers, so it is at least set up to receive mail. A domain with no MX records cannot receive anything, which makes those addresses definitively bad.
Why flag disposable addresses?
They are valid and they work, briefly. For a newsletter they are dead weight that inflates your list and hurts your sending reputation when they start bouncing. Whether to reject them is your call.
Is checking uploaded addresses a privacy problem?
Treat it as one. Addresses are personal data. They are processed here and not stored unless you are signed in, in which case the run is saved to your history — so do not paste a customer list you would not want kept there.
