About this tool

Fetches a page and reports the tags it actually declares: title, meta description, canonical, meta robots, language, viewport, heading structure and the Open Graph and Twitter tags used for link previews.

There is no score. A score would hide the two things worth knowing — what the page says, and which of those things will cost you visibility.

Common questions

What is the right title length?

There is no fixed limit. Search engines truncate on pixel width, not characters, so a title of capital letters runs out sooner than one of lowercase. Roughly 30 to 60 characters usually survives intact — treat it as guidance, not a rule.

Does rewriting my description change what Google shows?

Not necessarily. Search engines frequently generate their own snippet from page content when it matches the query better. A good description is still worth writing — it is what gets used when it is used.

My canonical points at a different URL. Is that wrong?

Not by itself. Pointing at a preferred version of a duplicate page is exactly what canonicals are for. It is a problem when it is unintentional — a whole site canonicalised to its homepage, for example.
